ERA Showcases Cloud-Based Workflow & Storage Technologies at BVE 2014 (Stand N40)
11 February 2014 – LONDON, MANCHESTER. Leading broadcast and IT solutions provider, ERA will be showcasing cloud-based workflow and storage technologies, including Adobe and Avere Systems, at this year’s BVE show on Stand N40 from 25-27 February at ExCel London.
The team will be presenting NAS optimization and Cloud NAS from Avere Systems, which ERA has successfully deployed across the post-production community, with recent installations at MPC, The Mill and Deluxe. Visitors to the show will be able see how Avere’s FXT Edge filers helped visual effects studio Framestore manage the massive rendering and storage performance requirements for Oscar-nominated blockbuster Gravity. Essential features include the ability to identify hot files, improve storage load visibility, identify “rogue renders” that could wreak havoc on the system and accelerate random and sequential read and write access to the system’s backend storage or core filers.
The ERA Team will also be at the show to discuss cloud-based workflow and storage technologies from Adobe Anywhere and Storage DNA. As a workflow tool, Adobe Anywhere offers users a collaborative platform to create and share content across standard networks. From a storage perspective, Storage DNA Evolution offers intelligent LTO LTFS near line and archive storage, integrating with Avid Interplay and CATDV solutions, to help manage content and lower storage costs when transitioning to a file-based workflow.
Over the last 10 years, ERA has become synonymous with the delivery of innovative and reliable technical solutions for broadcast, media and visual computing organisations. Strategic alliances with leading vendors and outstanding technical capability have made ERA an easy choice for businesses looking to harness IT, video and file-based workflows. Clients include BBC, ITV, The University of Salford, Envy, Deluxe, The Mill, Evolutions, JCA, Rushes Postproduction and Red Bee Media.
