IRIS Mobile Road Incident Investigation System Shortlisted for 2015 ADS Security Innovation Award

BN Security & Defence has been shortlisted in this year’s ADS Security Innovation Award for IRIS (Investigation of Road Incidents System), a mobile integrated hardware and software platform that allows Police forces to quickly and accurately capture and analyse evidence at road traffic incident scenes.

Now in its 12th year, the ADS award recognises not only the innovative equipment and technology produced by UK companies, but equally importantly, the partnership between people on the ground and those prepared to put the time and skill behind the development and production of new and ground breaking technology.

IRIS combines an easy-to-use 360-degree video capture system that simply bolts on to a police vehicle with a powerful suite of software tools that simplifies information gathering and provides rich information for analysis in real time. The mobile system, which has been deployed successfully by the Dutch police, not only minimises disruption to traffic but also significantly reduces investigation times and costs.

BN Security & Defence will be demonstrating the IRIS system at Security & Policing 2015, Stand X10 10-12 March, along side a custom-built cyber crime-fighting digital forensics vehicle and a mobile UAV C2 platform designed and built for the University of Southampton’s Autonomous Systems Research Group.
